Fortress Investment Group Executive Peter Briger

Peter Briger is one of the top executives of the investment firm known as Fortress Investment Group. Briger has worked in the finance industry for over two decades and therefore brings a lot of experience to the field. Over the course of his career, Briger has worked for a number of top financial services firms such as Goldman Sachs. When he worked at this particular firm, he spent time managing its credit and distressed asset markets in Asia. Eventually, Peter would become a partner in the firm in 1996. As well as being a top executive in the finance industry, Peter spends his time participating in a number of activities outside of finance. He has been a member of an investment club as well as preserving local sites in the community.

Today Peter Briger serves as a member of the management committee of Fortress Investment Group. He is one of the principals of the firm along with being the co chief executive officer. At this position, he provides some of the daily management and oversight of the firm. When working at Fortress Investment Group, Peter manages a team of over 300 employees who help clients manage credit and private equity securities. With his experience at Goldman Sachs, Peter has been able to provide leadership in this area of the firm.

Prior to joining Fortress Investment Group, Peter Briger worked at the firm Goldman Sachs. For over a decade, Peter would provide expertise and leadership to one of the most reputable finance firms in the industry. In 1996, Peter would reach high level position that enabled him to provide management of the firm. During his time working at Goldman Sachs, Peter managed the credit division of the firm where he helped it expand to the Asian markets. Along with managing the credit division for Asian markets, Briger also served in a number of committees that helped the firm better serve clients in Asia.

Over the years, Peter Briger has been known to be quite active in his community. Recently, he helped low income families in San Francisco get affordable housing and avoid homelessness. He has also helped maintained New York’s Central Park as he was a member of its conservatory. Along with being active in his community, Peter was also part of the Princeton University Investment Club. As a member of this club, Peter provides advice and education to a number of college students who are looking to invest for their future.
