Tinder’s Evolution Continues

The dating app Tinder broke new ground when it came to online innovations when it made the concept of swiping more popular. On July 18, they began offering an extension to the app that now allows for easier movement between the picture of a person and the text that accompanies it with a simple tap of the screen.

Some have described this idea as a variation on what Snapchat and other social media sites have been offering. For Tinder, the photos are slightly larger, with taps to different areas of the photos leading to the presentation of additional information on the person in question or simple movement back and forth.

When the bottom of the photo is tapped, profile information that the other person has provided can be read. Other demographic information and the distance between the two people is also provided, along with a presentation of the other person’s interests and social media addresses.

For those looking to simply go through photos at a much quicker pace, tapping the right side of the screen moves to the next photo. If a need to return to a previous photo is required, a tap to the left hand side of the screen is all that’s needed.

In the past, Tinder has taken some heat because of what critics charge is a superficial way of assessing the quality of individuals simply on the basis of their looks. That’s led some of its rivals to zero in on other aspects related to personality.

More technical concerns are also being worked on by Tinder as mobile technology continues to advance at a rapid pace. Added simplicity when it comes to the makeup of the app is behind much of the thinking, since it will allow the company to adapt in quicker fashion than rivals.

3,000 New TV Episodes Set to Stream on Hulu Thanks to 20th Century Fox Deal

Hulu announced on their website today that they will be launching 3,000 new television episodes on their streaming service due to a new agreement with 20th Century Fox Television Distribution.

These episodes will be from shows that are currently popular on cable television as well as dramas and comedies. Hulu has received streaming rights to shows such as “Bones,” “Burn Notice,” and “Glee.” Hulu will also be streaming older television series as well, such as “MAS*H” and “NYPD Blue.”

The list also includes episodes from shows that have completed and/or been canceled, such as:

“How I Met Your Mother,” “Raising Hope,” “The Bernie Mac Show,” “Better Off Ted,” “Reba,” “Life in Pieces,” “White Collar,” “The Practice,” “Don’t Trust the B—in Apartment 23,” “The Grinder,” “Blue Collar,” “Saving Grace,” “Lie To Me,” “Graceland,” “Dollhouse,” “Wilfred,” “The Glades,” “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” “St. Elsewhere,” “Hill Street Blues,” and “The Bob Newhart Show.”

Even though 20th Century Fox Television Distribution owns one third of Hulu, the streaming service still needs to vye for the right to stream 20th Century’s content. Thankfully, they have been able to come to multiple agreements since their collaboration.

Previously, Hulu announced that they received permission from 20th Century Fox to stream episodes of “Bob’s Burgers,” “Futurama,” “American Dad,” and more.

Another deal arrived when 20th Century Fox and Hulu arranged for the streaming of television shows such as “This Is Us,” “Last Man on Earth,” “Fresh Off the Boat,” and “Homeland.”

Hulu has stated that these new television series episodes will be available to be streamed to subscribers’ in-home devices in the coming weeks, with no definitive release date set for any of the shows. TechCrunch states that it’s predicted that some of the episodes will be released by the end of the summer, and the full list of content should be accessible by the end of the year.

Hulu notes that they will be announcing the inclusion of even more television series episodes in the coming weeks.

Hulu Expands TV Offerings By 3,000 New Episodes

Hulu continues to impress as the online streaming service massively expands its audience reach. Hulu reflects the future of entertainment technology: a streaming platform in which preferred programming can be accessed on-demand. Hulu has recently signed an amazing deal with 20th Century Fox to bring another 3,000 television episodes to the platform. The deal probably was easy to sign since 20th Century Fox owns about a third of Hulu. Whether the deal was easy or difficult matters not. What matters is a ton of new programming comes to Hulu very shortly. Also coming soon is the future of how people watch their favorite television programs.

The classic television won’t be going away completely, but a host of broadcasting and cable channels might either dissolve or morph into an online platform. People love convenience. The ability to watch a particular television episode any time of the day or evening 365 days out of the year currently fuels the popularity of streaming services.

The ability to watch programming on a variety of different devices further enhances popularity. Hulu can be viewed on a mobile device adding a level of near infinity to the different locations in which programming can be viewed. Why read a dull magazine in the doctor’s waiting room when several episodes of NYPD Blue are available via a smartphone?

Hulu remains a pioneer in streaming programming and is well-primed for great success in the near future. Other streaming services are sure to follow suit but they would be playing catch-up.

Talk Fusion Is Excited About 2017

It is always great when there is a company out there that is exciting and fresh. Talk Fusion has kept it exciting and fresh for a decade now, which is no small feat and nothing to sneeze at, that is for sure. They have worked, clawed, and scratched for everything they have received. That is the way Bob Reina prefers it, though. He is a firm believer in hard work and putting your nose to the grindstone. That is how people get ahead and that is how people win. Talk Fusion knows this as they won two awards in 2016 from the Technology Marketing Corporation

They only give out this award to the very best in voice, data, and video. Talk Fusion is clearly the best when it comes to that. It can be found in the App Store for Apple users or the Google Play store for Android users. In fact, they have made it to where now both Apple and Android customers can communicate together, which is something that is really improving their client base and making people very, very happy. Bob Reina is all about making people happy all of the time when they use Talk Fusion. Their latest award was for the 2016 Communications Solutions Product of The Year Award.

Communication is something that is somewhat of a lost art form in today’s society, but with Talk Fusion’s video newsletters, video emails, video conferences, and video chats, communication can be taken to a whole new level. It makes communication easier than ever, and they are over the moon about that. Communication equals solutions. So many times, things get lost in transit or they get overlooked because people don’t know how to connect with one another and they don’t know how to say and do the right things.

With Talk Fusion, all of that goes out the window. They make talking and chatting easier than ever for everyone involved. When people take the time to truly understand each other and get to know each other, they connect in a way they otherwise would not have in the first place.

ClassDojo raises $21 Million in a Move set to make it the Leading Educational App

When Sam Chaudhary and Liam Don set out to set up ClassDojo, their primary objective was to bring teachers and parents closer in order to make a student’s learning experience at school and at home memorable. Since 2011, the company has remained steadfast in its efforts to make its founders’ dreams a reality.

The first step has been to raise resources that will enable the company to develop all the features needed to make ClassDojo app an official communication platform for parents and teachers. In their second round of financing, the company, and its investors were able to raise $21 million, money that will be channeled towards further development of the ClassDojo app.

ClassDojo’s founders have initiated joint effort with other stakeholders to achieve a ground-up change in the education sector. To begin with, students using Class Story receive motivation and encouragements from both parents and teachers who compliment them online for every display of hard work or academic excellence.

Parents have also lauded the app for helping them stay abreast with the progress of their children’s educational development at school. With its popularity among parents, ClassDojo app has been christened the Slack of education for creating a community that includes everyone in a child’s life to keep track of the learning progress of the child in school.

Teachers and parents using the app have commended the app for enabling them to interact without being required to hold physical meetings. Reliable reports indicate that 2 out of 3 schools in US have teachers who use the app to enhance the learning experience of their students. The teachers’ acceptance of the app indicates that the app may soon become a mainstream communication tool between them and parents.

According to a statement from Catalyst’s Managing Director, the funds raised in the round B of financing could be used to develop more content for the application. ClassDojo’sfounders were confident that in future, the app could be used to avail learning materials like books and videos to parents. For instance, in a program launched alongside Stanford University, Class Dojo is using animated videos to engage students on growth mindset.

ClassDojo is still yet to earn its investors any money but it has added immense value to education. Thanks to the app, teachers can communicate with parents effectively on different issues regarding a student’s learning progress. The parents have also found the platform from where they can follow up on their children’s learning and development.

Securus Is Easy For Our Church To Use

Our whole church is involved in a ministry that works for everyone because it was designed to help them get involved with people who need ministry and need help. We want to be sure that we are helping as many people as we can, and that is why we all as a church got together to start using Securus when we could. We have been using it ever since, and it is a very easy thing to manage. I thought that I would have to do a lot more work to explain to everyone how it works, but Securus really did create the most functional app possible.
Their app gives us a video feed into the jail where we can see who we are working with, and we have actually assigned certain people to work with certain other people. We are trying to build relationships, and we have even welcomed some inmates into our church once they have gotten out. We are not only helping to build people up, but we are able to see them so that they know that they have a partner in what we are doing. I am very pleased with the app I found from PR Newswire, and I think everyone in the church loves it, too.

I wanted to be sure that I could do something that would work well as a prison ministry, but I did not want to do something that was too impersonal. I made it so that we could all use Securus America app to talk to the inmates, and now some of the inmates that we have been working with are part of the church family and doing the same thing. We wanted to make a difference in their lives, and I am really pleased with the way that we have impacted everyone in our program.

If You’re Considering Spring Cleaning, Consider Handy

The spring weather is a time when we can all revitalize and rejuvenate every aspect of our lives. Many people take this time to work on themselves by perhaps getting a makeover or attempting to lose some weight. Others see spring time as a chance to spend more time with their family by having picnics and heading to parks. Then, there are those who choose to breathe new life into their home. They think of spring and they instantly think spring cleaning. It’s a time when they want nothing more to throw open their windows and give their house a deep clean. Unfortunately, that’s not always practical.

There are many people out there who cannot clean and it’s not because they’re lazy. Some people simply do not have the time to do spring cleaning. These are the people who might work full time or even more than that. There are people who are too busy raising a family or doing other activities. They’d love to have a clean home for spring, but they simply do not have the time. There are also people who have a disability which prevents them from cleaning. Then there are simply those who don’t want too! Even if they don’t want to or they can’t, they still long for that spring fresh scent throughout their home.

That’s why Handy is around! It’s a home cleaning service where everything is done from the convenience of your phone. People can log onto the app and find a cleaner. They can specify which rooms need cleaning and when. They are then matched up with a cleaner and given a rate. This is much safer than other cleaning services that one would find in the phonebook. That’s because these are trusted cleaners that have undergone rigorous background checks. There is also no hand to hand cash transactions. Everything is taken care of online. In the end, everyone feels safe and secure with Handy.

Handy is perfect for all types of users and especially for those who want their home to have that spring clean feeling when they can’t do it themselves.

David Hasselhoff Wasn’t Enough Attraction to Keep HomeJoy in Business

According to a recent article in on the Wall Street Journal’s Business Beat page, HomeJoy, a home cleaning and repair company, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The company, who hired Baywatch heartthrob David Hasselhoff to be its commercial spokesperson, claims that the reason for the company’s shutdown prior to claiming Chapter 11, was “many unresolved challenges in the home services space,” according to HomeJoy’s July blog. Homejoy is one company that offered home cleaning services that you can order with a click of a mouse for an affordable fee. A more detailed supposition as to why Homejoy failed is proposed at Greensocks.com. Sometimes the best ideas can fail, not because the public does not need the service, but because of many other details that must go right in order to keep a start up going.

No matter what the reasons for HomeJoy’s failure to stay afloat, busy people with a home to clean love the idea of click to hire service. The good news is that consumers can hire Handy, a web based company where you can take advantage of their current special offer for a $39 home cleaning for first time customers. Their website, shows that they offer many services besides basic housekeeping. These services include furniture assembly, which comes in quite “handy” when you buy boxed furniture from Ikea or another distributor and you don’t have the time, know-how, or patience to put it all together. Just click on the service and you can schedule assistance at a time convenient for you. They even have professional plumbers and electricians you can hire, that will get the job done in no time, whether it be a leaky faucet or installing recessed lighting. Ordering on the Handy app could not be simpler! You just fill in the boxes of what you need done and when and a verified service professional shows up equipped with the tools and knowledge to do the work.

Handy doesn’t appear to have celebrity spokespersons or cheezy ads, but they do provide excellence in customer service and satisfaction, which is integral for any business to stay in business.
